I believe taking breaks for creating is essential. I believe knitting is special and it brings more to my life than the finished objects themselves. I want you to take time for you. I want you to slow down and create with love, compassion, and abundance. I really believe that if we allow ourselves the time, we can bloom & create in the most beautiful and powerful ways.

Hey there! I'm Emma from Bloom & Create. I am a knitter, designer, maker, social worker, and yarn lover. I began designing patterns in late 2019, after many years of knitting and crocheting. I seek to combine approachable knitting patterns with principles grounded in well-being and mindful making.

Knitting has unlocked such connection, creativity and hope in my life. I’ve made it my mission to share that glee with others.

When you knit up a new sock, you don’t just have a new sock. You also have a new experience, new example of your creativity, a new symbol of cozy self love.

So here’s your permission slip to create with abundance. To create with hope. To create with all your wonder. We need your art.

Another thing you should know: I am a firm believer in putting your well-being first. For me that means having a daily morning knitting ritual. And gosh, I really hope you can find a knitting and creating routine that works for you.
